1.Reduction of Pigmentation Phenomena: a. Guerlain takes an innovative approach by turning its attention to Glycobiology (the science of sugars). Indded, glycation (protein-sugar bonds) phenomena, which lead to the appearance of brown spots, are one of the causes of pigmentation flaws. To reduce these phenomena, Guerlain introduces a powerful glycation inhibitor: a sunflower seed extract. Moreover, pigmentation mechanisms begin with the bonding of a sugar to an enzyme called tyrosinase. This can lead to the transformation of tyrosine into melanin. To counteract this, Issima perfect White C enriched with anti-S0link, which disrupts this tyrosinase-sugar bonding.
